World leaders will mark the eightieth anniversary of the Normandy landings

The occasions, along with the top of the Elysee Palace Emmanuel Macron, shall be attended by US President Joe Biden, who arrived in France on Wednesday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British King Charles III and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was not invited to the eightieth anniversary of the Normandy landings.

In February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine once more, successfully severing ties with the West and receiving a brand new wave of sanctions.
