The prize is awarded by the Norwegian Affiliation of Journalists, the Norwegian Editors’ Affiliation and the Nationwide Affiliation of Media Firms. It was Minister of Tradition Lubna Jaffery (Ap) who handed it to Skavlan on the convention Medieleder 2024 in Kristiansand
The drawing exhibits a kids’s guide entitled “My first handbook for political management”, and was a touch upon the numerous integrity scandals in 2023.
– The means and the expression illustrate in a completely glorious means a case that concerned the entire nation – and the satirical, infantile and strict captures the reader, says jury chief Tom Erik Thorsen.
Winner Fredrik Skavlan is a journalist, newspaper cartoonist and has illustrated a number of books.
– This value surpasses most, he says.

Along with Thorsen, who’s editor-in-chief at Varden, the jury has consisted of Tone Sofie Aglen, political commentator at NRK, Jens Kihl, tradition editor at Bergens Tidende, and Bianca Boege from Avistegnernes Hus. 131 drawings entered the competitors.
