Newspaper: Egypt calls on its troopers to reply and warns Israel that it’ll not hesitate “militarily”

Egypt – The Wall Road Journal quoted Egyptian officers as saying that the Egyptian military had instructed troopers on the border to reply if photographs have been fired from Israel.

The newspaper stated that since Israel started deploying forces alongside the southern border of Gaza in current weeks, the Egyptian military has instructed troopers on the border to return fireplace if they’re shot at. They added that Egypt warned Israel that it might not hesitate to reply militarily if its safety was threatened.

The newspaper, citing officers, famous that if the “containment technique” fails, the Egyptian authorities will utterly freeze relations with Israel.

Earlier, the Egyptian military introduced the killing of a soldier on the border with Rafah, stressing that an investigation had been opened into the incident. Native media quoted a supply as saying that Cairo “warns in opposition to compromising the safety and security of Egyptian safety personnel deployed on the border,” following the taking pictures incident between Egyptian and Israeli troopers in Rafah.

The killing of the Egyptian soldier raised fears of pushing the area into an all-out struggle. Particularly in mild of the unprecedented stress in Egyptian-Israeli relations.

In flip, the Egyptian army spokesman stated: “The Egyptian Armed Forces are conducting an investigation by the competent authorities into the taking pictures incident within the Rafah border space, which led to the martyrdom of one of many personnel accountable for insurance coverage.”
