We all know how to recite that sunscreen is important:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of 99 – wear sunscreen
If I might offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it
Baz Luhrmann told us that, our mothers told us that, the magazines told us that, the dermatologists told us that.
Still, I have a complicated relationship with the field: the sunscreen never applies to me properly, it bothers me, it makes me red. And when I say “he” I mean “they”, because I tried them all. Well, most of them. After years of trying to get around the recommendation by avoiding (not leaving the house in daylight between the months of April and November) I finally met glossier’s creme-gel and my life changed (Sunscreen for people who hate wearing sunscreen, that’s how it’s described on the website). Finally, a light and pleasant protection that is easily applied, absorbs immediately and does not leave either white spots or redness.
The point is that the addiction to glossier gel requires an organized personality, since they don’t send it to Israel, and when I have the chance to go to the US, it just ends, and when American companies come to Israel, I just forget to ask them to bring it to me. At this stage, even I have to admit that flexibility is required on my part.

So I went on a hunting trip around Super Pharm online in search of protection in gel format and with higher availability. Have I found a new love? Stay with us:
(This is a post in collaboration with Super Pharm, who were nice and sent me to try all the gel-based creams I found on the site).
What was I looking for? Everything that is important to find in a sunscreen (that will protect from the entire set of rays that sunscreens promise to protect once morest and that will be equipped with a minimum of 30 spf) and that it will also be a gel and not a cream, because my personal experience shows that this is the only way there is a chance that the sun protection system will be used daily, and in the end the consistency It is what is important, because no matter how great the cream is, if it is unpleasant to use it will not be effective when it is closed in the closet in the shower.
01 La Roche-Posay gel cream
What it promises: SPF50 protection factor, extremely high protection, suitable for mixed-oily skin, matte appearance, perfume-free.
What I thought: Everything is fine and dandy and it’s a brand I really like, but it’s not a gel. It has many fans on the cult beauty website, so if you don’t suffer from a gel obsession, maybe it will suit you. I am goal-oriented, so – on.
02 Kiehl’s Aqua-Gel moisturizing lotion
What it promises: SPF50 protection factor, once morest UVA and UVB rays, protection from air pollution, for normal to oily skin, fat-free, without paraben and perfume.
What I thought: Here, too, those who were looking for a gel texture may be disappointed, but it is more watery than a traditional cream and relatively fluid (the word “aqua” does appear in its name).
03 Clear gel-oil from Clarins
What it promises: SPF30 protection factor, technology that allows uniform application even on wet skin, enriched with antioxidants, velvety texture, suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.
What I thought: It’s not exactly the gel texture I’m familiar with, but it’s light and transparent enough that I won’t remember while applying that I’m dealing with sunscreen. It actually feels like a light moisturizer. Unlike its odorless friends, it also has a pleasant smell (but that’s a matter of taste).
Bonus points: In my opinion, it is also the most beautiful cream, one that you are happy to pull out of the bag in the pool because it makes you look like a tourist (if you are more spiritually advanced than me, this is not a point that will make you happy, but unfortunately in my case it is a figure that must be taken into account).
04 Life transparent gel
What it promises: SPF50 protection factor, waterproof, dermatologically tested, not tested on animals, without parabens and without oxybenzone.
What I thought: I thought I was really stuck because I probably wouldn’t have tried it at all because of the price (yes, a low price is just as much of a barrier as a high price) and it’s a shame, because it has everything I was looking for: a matte velvety satin texture that applies easily (reminiscent of the supergoop gel) , completely transparent and absorbed without fuss.
