The Prime Minister will speak at the conference’s round table discussion, as well as bilateral meetings and media interviews. I. Šimonytė will visit Germany on Thursday and Friday, the Government Press Office reported.
Minister of Foreign Affairs G. Landsbergis is going to Germany for three days, he will be one of the main speakers at the main session of the Munich conference on how the Russian war in Ukraine affected the development of the European Union.
At the Munich Security Conference, the minister will also speak and discuss with decision-makers regarding challenges to transatlantic security, Russia’s war in Ukraine and the importance of Western countries’ support to Ukraine, strengthening NATO’s deterrence and collective defense.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, G. Landsbergis will meet with the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, Bulgaria, Moldova, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Latvia, St. Colleagues of the throne and other countries, German politicians.
The Munich Security Conference is the largest annual security forum attended by world heads of state, representatives of the academic and business worlds. This year’s conference is held for the 60th time.
