A total of 32 people injured as a result of an accident involving a tour bus from Lingga Kencana Vocational School, Depok, have been transferred from the Subang Regional General Hospital (RSUD) to several hospitals in Depok City, West Java.

Deputy Mayor of Depok Imam Budi Hartono said that the Bhayangkara Brimob Kelapa Dua Hospital, the University of Indonesia Hospital, and the Depok City Hospital were the medical facilities treating the victims. “There were 32 individuals who suffered injuries, who were initially treated at the local health center, but then we transferred them to a hospital in Depok City,” explained Imam when quoted from Between, Sunday (12/5).

Imam explained that most of the injured victims taken to hospitals in Depok had minor injuries, while some of them needed special treatment which was not available at the Subang Regional Hospital. “The victims with minor injuries have been sent home, while those who need special treatment are being evacuated to UI Hospital, Mobile Brigade and Depok City Regional Hospital,” he added.

Imam also informed that there are still victims who are still being treated at the Subang Regional Hospital because they require special treatment so they cannot be sent home to Depok City. “We will continue to monitor them until they are ready to be transferred to a hospital in Depok City,” he explained.

Dian Murfaridah from the Information Section of the Social Welfare Foundation (YKS) explained that in the school group there were 157 people using three buses, consisting of 28 teachers and 122 students. “The number of victims who died reached 11 people, including a teacher, while 32 people were injured. We continue to communicate with the families of the victims,” ​​he said.

Previously, a tour bus carrying a group of students from Depok Vocational School had an accident on the Ciater road, Subang, Saturday (11/5/2024) at around 18:45 WIB. The incident was thought to have been caused by a brake failure and left 11 people dead, including a motorcyclist. (Ant/Z-10)
