Bad news for the Kardashian-Jenner clan. In a recent preview of season 5 of the reality show The Kardashians, Kris Jenner shared a serious update regarding her health: the medical diagnosis of a “small tumor.” The reality television series that for many years has followed the personal and professional lives of the members of this family, will now focus on the medical problems that its protagonists recently faced.

During the trailer for the next batch of episodes, which will be seen in Latin America starting May 23 on Star+ and Disney+, the camera follows the celebrities’ journey and also their reaction to unforeseen events that arise in their relationships and agendas.

In one of the scenes in the preview, Jenner, 68, is recorded while going to a doctor’s appointment and receiving the news. The narrative then changes tone to accentuate the seriousness of the moment. Kris holds back tears to reveal that she had had an MRI. “I got my results,” she said. “They found a cyst and, like, a small tumor.”

The impact of the revelation is felt by her daughters: Khloé Kardashian is visibly worried; while Kylie Jenner can’t hold back her tears, and is comforted by Kendall.

Over the years, Kris cemented her reputation as the matriarch of the clan, especially as a marketing and management visionary. Her importance is such that she is considered the central axis around which the Kardashian-Jenner empire revolves.

The aforementioned trailer does not offer further details regarding the specific condition of the businesswoman, leaving the audience and followers of the family waiting for more information in the next episodes.

Other delicate topics that will be seen in the reality show have to do with the pregnancy of Kourtney Kardashian, who faced serious complications before the birth of her son. In one part of the trailer, Kardashian Barker shares: “This is the best blessing in the world, but it is a high-risk pregnancy.” The narrative is accompanied by images prior to fetal surgery, which she remembers as a terrifying experience.

In September 2023, Kourtney revealed the severity of her medical process through a post on Instagram. She thus made known her deep gratitude to her husband Travis Barker and her mother Kris Jenner, who was by her side during the uncertain process.

“I have a new perspective and respect for mothers who have had to fight for their babies during pregnancy,” the celebrity wrote on her social networks. “Praise God. Leaving the hospital with my baby in my belly and safe was the greatest blessing,” she concluded.

According to NBC News sources, Kourtney’s baby was born in November 2023. The reality show might show more regarding this important event in the life of the 45-year-old socialite.

The Kardashians is a reality television show produced by Ben Winston, Emma Conway and Elizabeth Jones. Danielle King is showrunner and executive producer. Each of the Kardashians also participates in the production of the reality show.

Season 5 will premiere on May 23 and will release new episodes every Thursday. In addition to Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian’s medical complications, cameras will show Kylie and Kendall’s participation in Fashion Week; and Khloé’s reflections on her sex life following separating from Tristan Thompson.
