DONOVAN Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavalies to a 118-94 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs, Friday (10/5) WIB, bringing the position between the two teams to a 1-1 draw.
Mitchell scored 23 of his 29 points in the second half and got support from his teammates to win Game 2 following the Cavaliers lost badly to the Celtics in Game 1.
Evan Mobley led the Cavaliers’ strong performance early in the match by scoring 15 of his 21 points in the first half.
Mobley added 10 rebounds and five assists while Caris LeVert scored 21 points for the Cavaliers.
“I like the way we attack,” Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “We weren’t satisfied with the first pitch. We continued to attack and put pressure on them.”
The Cavaliers trailed in the first two quarters of the game but managed to equalize 54-54 at the break.
Mitchell then scored 16 points in the third quarter as the Cavaliers took control of the game until his team led by more than 10 points at the end of the third quarter 77-66.
The Cavaliers finished with 13 three-pointers while the Celtics only made 8 out of 35 three-point attempts. (nba.com/Z-1)
