PT Jasa Marga recorded that 162,553 vehicles returned to the Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabotabek) areas during the D+2 period of the Long Holiday for the Ascension of Jesus Christ, or on Saturday (11/5).
Marketing and Communication Department Head of Jasa Marga, Faiza Riani, said that this figure is the cumulative figure for traffic flow (traffic) from the four main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa from the direction of Merak, GT Ciawi from the direction of Puncak, and GT Cikampek Utama from the direction of Trans Java. and GT Kalihurip Utama from Bandung.
“The total volume of traffic returning to the Jabotabek area has increased by 10.75% compared to normal traffic,” said Faiza in an official statement, Sunday (12/5).
The distribution of traffic returning to Jabotabek is dominated from the east or Trans Java and Bandung with a total of 74,823 vehicles or 43.45% of the total vehicles returning on H+2 of the long holiday of the Ascension of Jesus Christ 2024. Then, 47,024 vehicles 31.32% from the direction west or Merak and 40,706 vehicles or 25.23% from the south or Puncak.
The details of the distribution of traffic returning to Jabotabek are from the Trans Java direction via the Cikampek Utama GT on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, totaling 33,805 vehicles, an increase of 9.26% from normal traffic. Then, from the direction of Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama, Cipularan Toll Road, there were 41,018 vehicles, an increase of 20.43% from normal traffic.
“The total traffic returning to Jabotabek from Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs was 74,823 vehicles, an increase of 15.11% from normal traffic,” explained Faiza.

The service also noted that 47,024 vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Merak via GT Cikupa on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road reached 47,024 units, an increase of 2.48% from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Puncak via GT Ciawi on the Jagorawi Toll Road was 40,706 vehicles, an increase of 13.41% from normal traffic.
Jasa Marga appeals to road users to anticipate their journey before entering the toll road. Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, ensure there is sufficient fuel oil (BBM) and electronic money balance, and obey the signs and directions of the officers. (Z-11)
