The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has issued notices to 12 cosmetics companies of the country for misleading marketing by beauty products manufacturers.
This step has been taken by CCP in an effort to protect consumers from deceptive advertising tactics.
The CCP is a regulatory agency whose primary authority and responsibility is to ensure equal competition for all sellers in the market and to protect consumers from anti-competitive practices, exploitative behavior and price fixing.

The preliminary findings of the CCP investigation showed that these companies were engaged in “greenwashing”, a process in which products are labeled as “natural, organic, sustainable, pure and chemical-free” without any scientific evidence. It is sold.
