A 16-year-old moped driver had to be picked up by the rescue helicopter on Wednesday. She fell on a right-hand bend on the municipal road in the Friedburg area, Lengau municipality in the Innviertel, around 7:45 p.m.
Directly behind her, her 17-year-old friend was also riding a moped. He showed signs of drug impairment, police said. That’s why the 17-year-old from the Braunau am Inn district was taken to a clinical examination, during which he was determined to be unfit to drive. His driver’s license was temporarily confiscated. A report will be filed.
His girlfriend was injured in the accident and had to be taken to the Salzburg State Hospital by rescue helicopter.
