Earlier, Ali Zafar told Independent Urdu that he was officially approached by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the PSL anthem and following 2 months of hard work, he was given an apology. .
He did not share the details on the reasons for the apology from PCB, but Ali Zafar’s manager said that the PCB was reportedly facing reservations from one of the PSL franchises due to which Ali Zafar was dropped from the PSL anthem project.
The alleged PSL franchises were of the view that since Ali Zafar has been in the news in the past due to a lawsuit with his fellow singer Misha Shafi, his song might tarnish the image of the public and the PSL.
This is not the first time that Ali Zafar Ali Zafar has been prominent in creating the anthems of Pakistan Super League (PSL), the country’s biggest T20 cricket tournament.
Ali Zafar composed and performed the first PSL anthem ‘Ab Khel Ke Dukha’ for the inaugural season of PSL in 2016.

It should be remembered that the matches of the ninth edition of Pakistan Super League will be played in four cities Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi from February 17 and the final of the event will be held on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
In this 34-match T20 tournament, Karachi will host a maximum of 11 matches, including qualifiers, two eliminators and the final.
