The DENVER Nuggets bounced back in the Western Conference semifinals once morest Minnesota with a 117-90 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers were able to turn things around once morest the New York Knicks.
NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray each scored 24 points. Jokic added 14 rebounds and nine assists for the Nuggets and moved to 1-2.
Denver dismissed suggestions that they would be eliminated following they were embarrassed by a young Timberwolves team in the first and second games in Denver.
Denver will try to even the score on Sunday (12/5) in Minneapolis. Jokic said the Nuggets entered the game determined to play like champions.
“I thought we played simpler. We were aggressive, more aggressive than them, and I think that was the thing that changed the game,” Jokic said.
Michael Porter Jr. added 21 points as all five Nuggets starters scored in double figures once morest a T’Woves team that coach Chris Finch called “sluggish” and “sluggish.”

Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 19 points. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 14 points, but the Timberwolves didn’t play with the pace that overwhelmed the Nuggets in Denver.
Meanwhile the Pacers, who dropped the first two games of their Eastern Conference semifinal series in New York, also avoided falling behind to 0-3 with a 111-106 win over the Knicks in Indianapolis.
“Everyone knows what it’s like when you’re down 3-0,” Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton said.
