Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Durrani has said that despite the recent military operation, there is no deadlock in relations with the Taliban administration in Kabul.
According to media reports, Ambassador Asif Durrani termed the meeting with Afghan Affairs Minister Sardar Ahmed Shakib as a continuation of contacts with Taliban officials, which were held following Gul Bahadur Group hideouts in Afghanistan.
On March 21, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, while commenting on the recent tension in Afghanistan, said that Pakistan had targeted terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan on March 18. The group was a terrorist.
Mumtaz Baloch had made it clear that while respecting Afghanistan’s sovereignty, the attacks by Pakistan did not target the civilian population of Afghanistan.
During the conversation with Sardar Ahmed Shakib, Asif Durrani highlighted the main focus on combating terrorism and seeking bilateral cooperation to reduce these challenges.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office condemned the terrorist attack in Kandahar.
Expressing his condolences, the spokesman said that terrorism is a common problem of Pakistan and Afghanistan, both countries need to solve the problem of terrorism together.
