The Minister in charge of relations with Parliament, the official spokesman for the government, Mustafa Paytas, reported today, Thursday, May 9, 2024, that the number of requests related to direct housing support reached approximately 64 thousand requests.
Paytas, in response to a question regarding direct support for housing acquisition, during a press interview following the weekly government meeting, highlighted that 20 percent of these requests, which were received by the platform of the Ministry of National Territorial Preparation, Construction, Housing and City Policy, were submitted by Moroccans around the world, and 38 percent. Some of them were presented by women.
He recorded that 90 percent of these applications are entitled to benefit from this support because they meet the required conditions and are currently subject to the applicable procedure, adding that 70 percent of the applications are for housing that costs 300 thousand dirhams, which “means the large share of these applications.”
Paytas confirmed that 50 percent of the project’s goals have been achieved, especially since it provides for supporting 110,000 housing units for the current year at a cost of 10 billion dirhams, explaining that the project “is progressing at a very important pace, and we will reach the goals set by the government within the project.”
On another level, in response to a question regarding the complications of using a vaccine once morest the “Covid-19” virus, Paytas stressed that “all vaccines are not used in Morocco except following approval by the relevant scientific committees.”
He explained that the government is ready to interact with the legislative institution regarding the discussions raised regarding a vaccine, following completing the formation of parliamentary committee offices.
