Guatemalan Óscar Santis made his debut as a scorer this Friday, May 10, with Dinamo Tbilisi when he scored the winning goal once morest Iberia 1999 in a match valid for the Georgian professional soccer league.

Santis, who joined the Dinamo team in January 2024 and following a few months of adaptation, scored his first official goal in Europe.

Before, the former Antigua GFC had already scored, but it was in a friendly match, but it was not until May 10 that he officially found the net to open his record for the World Cup qualifier that will begin in June once morest Dominica at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores stadium.

Santis’ goal came from the left sector, first he received the pass from his teammate Giorgi Loria and with a subtle control he got rid of his defender’s mark.

Then, the Guatemalan ran towards the rival goal and took a shot with a thread, the effect took the Iberia goalkeeper off guard and when he wanted to react it was already too late.

The ball hit him in front of his hands and ended up entering the back of the goal.

Santis and his teammates celebrated with euphoria, since with this victory once morest Iberia they ended a streak of three games without victory.

Now Dinamo has 17 points and is fifth in the standings and is looking forward to its next match, which will be on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 a.m.
