Another turning point, negative for the conflict that has been fought in the Middle East since last October 7th. Hamas has in fact decided to suspend talks on negotiations with Israel for a truce in Gaza: this was stated by a Palestinian terrorist source quoted on condition of anonymity by the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website and explaining that the decision was taken «by the movement , following consulting with the resistance factions.” The source specified that “the decision of the resistance factions was to postpone the return of the delegation to Cairo pending the results of the mediators’ efforts.” He also confirmed that the Hamas leadership had received a request from the Egyptian side to “avoid military escalation and give an opportunity to efforts to contain the crisis by continuing truce negotiations.”
In recent hours, Hamas has warned that any military operation in Rafah will not be at all easy for the Israeli army. The movement added in a statement that Israel’s preparations for the attack in the southern Strip confirm Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on continuing the genocide and his shirk of obligations under any agreement. Previously, a senior leader of the movement warned that Israel’s evacuation order was “a dangerous development that will have repercussions.” These statements came following the Israeli army identified several neighborhoods east of Rafah to evacuate, urging civilians to head towards Al-Mawasi in Khan Yunis. The neighborhoods he asked to evacuate included Al-Shouka in Sofa, as well as the Al-Salam neighborhood square in Al-Montazah and the Ebad Al-Rahman mosque square in Al-Faluga, as well as Al-Najjar hospital, the project at Deir Yassin Street, Tabet Zarè at Al-Shaara Street up to the east.
