Ireland chased down Pakistan’s target of 183 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the last over and took a one-nil lead in the series.
In the first T match played in Dublin, Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.
Pakistan’s innings
Playing first on the invitation of Ireland, Pakistan scored 182 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
On behalf of Pakistan, captain Babar Azam scored 57 runs and Saeem Ayub scored 45 runs, Fakhar Zaman was dismissed following scoring 20 runs.

Aggressive batsman Iftikhar Ahmed remained unbeaten with 37 runs off 15 balls and Shaheen Shah Afridi with 14 runs.
Thus, Pakistan scored 182 runs in the allotted 20 overs and set the host team a target of 183 runs to win.
Craig Young took 2 wickets while Gareth Delaney and Mark Adair took 1 wicket each for Ireland.
Ireland’s innings
Chasing Pakistan’s target of 183 runs, Ireland’s first two wickets fell early but then openers Andy Belburni and Harry Tector built a fine partnership to pave the way for the team’s success.
But on a total of 104, Harry Tector’s courage was answered and he fell victim to Imad Wasim on an individual score of 36.
However, on the other hand, Belburni continued to advance along with George Dockrell and both of them took the team’s score to 143, following which George Dockrell scored 24 runs and fell victim to Abbas Afridi.
Ireland’s fifth man to be dismissed was Andy Belburni who played a brilliant knock of 77 and played a vital role in the team’s victory, his innings included 2 sixes and 10 fours.
Thus, the Irish team achieved the required target on the fifth ball of the last over and Gareth Delaney remained not out with 10 runs and Kurtis Kaempfer with 15 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan, Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imad Wasim and Naseem Shah took 1 wicket each.
It should be remembered that Ireland has defeated Pakistan for the first time in T20.
