Gina Lollobrigida’s inheritance is being auctioned off

A very special treasure that will be auctioned by the Wannenes auction house in Genoa on May 28th and 29th is a watch with the engraving “to Gina with admiration”, which Gina Lollobrigida received as a gift from the former Cuban head of state Fidel Castro. A total of 410 objects from the film diva, who died on January 16, 2023, will go under the hammer, including furniture, jewelry and works of art.

Lollobrigida’s Star Camera

The camera with which the artist Fidel Castro, the actor Paul Newman and the painter Salvator Dali was portrayed will also be auctioned, as will the star on the “Walk of Fame” and the prizes for the film “Bread, Love and Fantasy” ( 1954) and “Imperial Venus” (1962).

Lollobrigida’s assets included, among other things, a magnificent villa on the Via Appia Antica in Rome, an apartment in Monte Carlo, other real estate and expensive jewelry. The actress left her long-time assistant Andrea Piazzolla a trust fund with her artwork and gave him the task of making her artistic work known around the world.

The 37-year-old Piazzolla had received half of the diva’s fortune. The artist’s only son, Andrea Milko Skofic, with whom Lollobrigida was in dispute, got the rest. She bequeathed her collection of 100 Etruscan vases to the Italian state.
