PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded positive performance throughout 2023 by generating core profit of IDR 2.7 trillion. The company managed to record a net profit of IDR 6.8 trillion, with IDR 4.1 trillion coming from business combinations and corporate actions.

Core profit obtained by Jasa Marga increased 196.7% from the previous year. So at the 2023 Fiscal Year AGMS, the company decided to distribute dividends to shareholders amounting to IDR 274.8 billion or 10% of core profit or the equivalent of 4% of net profit attributable to the parent company.

“As the holder of 70% of Jasa Marga shares, the government will receive dividends of IDR 192.4 billion from the company. Meanwhile, public shareholders of 30% will receive a total dividend of IDR 82.4 billion,” said Jasa Marga Corporate Secretary and Chief Administration Officer Nixon. Sitorus at the 2023 Fiscal Year AGMS, Wednesday (8/5).

He said that the dividend distribution was the company’s commitment to provide added value to shareholders based on the trust they have given to the company so far. However, considering economic uncertainty and the global situation as well as the increase in benchmark interest rates in 2024, dividend distribution is carried out with a moderate scenario.

In the future, management will strive for sustainable dividend payments through measurable policies without ignoring future financial and economic conditions.

“The amount of dividends per share received by shareholders is around IDR 37,86353. Meanwhile, the company’s remaining net profit for 2023 is allocated as retained earnings which will be used as other reserves,” added Nixon.

Not only that, the company’s EBITDA also reached IDR 9.9 trillion or grew by 14.2% from the same period in the previous year.

Likewise, the realization of the EBITDA Margin reached 63.7% in line with the increase in the company’s performance with the operation of a number of new toll roads and increased community mobilization which became a positive catalyst for the increase in the company’s traffic volume. Throughout 2023, the company recorded that the average daily traffic volume on the Jasa Marga Group Toll Road reached 3.5 million vehicles every day, an increase of 5.3% from 2022.

In order to optimize the company’s business portfolio, in July 2023, Jasa Marga carried out corporate action in the form of executing the buyback of Mandiri Infrastruktur Equity Transjawa (MIET) Limited Participation Mutual Funds (RDPT) at PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang (JSB), PT Jasamarga Solo Ngawi (JSN) , and PT Jasamarga Ngawi Kertosono Kediri (JNK) through the acquisition of shares in PT Lintas Marga Jawa (LMJ) by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT).

By carrying out the scheme in question, the company is once more consolidating the three segments and implementing compliance with the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 22 concerning Business Combinations.

Apart from buying back RDPT MIET, in October 2022, Jasa Marga also divested the MBZ Flyover which is managed by PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC). These two corporate actions affect the company’s performance year-over-year (YoY). (Van/Z-7)
