THE.NIGHT: “Welcome Austria” with Manuel Feller and Milo Rau on May 14th on ORF 1

2024-05-10 10:56:31

Afterwards: “Pratersterne” and “Good Night Austria”

Vienna (OTS) – It’s getting festive in “Welcome Austria”: Stermann and Grissemann are back in the Marx Palast and will celebrate the 610th edition on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10 p.m. on ORF 1 – and from 8 p.m. on ORF ON and in the TVthek app – with your guests. Slalom World Cup winner Manuel Feller is coming to talk to the WÖ hosts for the first time, while theater director and author Milo Rau is making his debut this year not only on the show, but also as the head of the Vienna Festival Week. At 11 p.m. the “Prater Stars” light up THE NIGHT: Hosea Ratschiller welcomes Omar Sarsam, Romeo Kaltenbrunner, Toxische Fries and the Blonde Angel to the stand-up stage of the Vienna Fluc. At 11.30 p.m. there will be a dacapo with “Good Night Austria”.

“Welcome Austria” with Stermann & Grissemann at 10 p.m

Ski racer Manuel Feller repeatedly had to struggle with setbacks in his career, but last season the down-to-earth Tyrolean fought his way to the – for now – peak of his career. Feller was able to win the World Cup in the slalom and is also in a deserved third place in the overall World Cup. It goes without saying that he will also shine in the “Welcome Austria” talk on Tuesday.

The theater and performance scene also considers the new director of the Wiener Festwochen to be brilliant: This year, Milo Rau is taking over the management of the “largest crossover festival in Europe”, which is known far beyond the country’s borders, and is calling for the “Freie Republic of Vienna”. In a talk with Stermann and Grissemann, the Swiss reveals what you can imagine and what program highlights await the audience during the festival week.

“Pratersterne” at 11 p.m

The stars shine particularly bright this time when Hosea Ratschiller welcomes colleagues from the very beginning and young talents of today: Omar Sarsam was already a guest in the first episode and is now an established star in the cabaret sky. The Upper Austrian Romeo Kaltenbrunner humorously deals with his separation from a Viennese woman. Toxic Fries speaks pointedly regarding the cultural and linguistic differences between Serbian and Austrian cultures. And the Blonde Angel shares health tips from his aunt: Socks around the neck always help!
