Asunción, IP Agency.- The Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, reported that the tender for urban works to improve some road sections in the metropolitan area of Asunción and Central is in the process of being prepared, which are part of the new investment projects for 500 million dollars.
The Minister of Public Works highlighted the road sections that will be improved on Mariscal López Avenue, from Madame Lynch Avenue to the city of San Lorenzo; the duplication of the Romero Curve in Luque and the intervention from the Highway to Mariano Roque Alonso (route D025), in addition to a viaduct also in the area.
The minister highlighted that these works will have a very high impact on urban mobility in the metropolitan area of Asunción. The announcement was made during the Council of Ministers meeting yesterday, Monday.
In addition to the upcoming road works to be tendered, Centurion announced that intervention projects are planned in six areas of the Central department, including the districts of Ñemby, Itá and Guarambaré, as part of the so-called “Central Plan”.
In this sense, he pointed out that these processes are underway from the Public Works portfolio to carry out urban interventions, which are part of the new projects that will be tendered in the coming months and that in total amount to nearly USD 500 million of investment. .
