Meals are the preferred time to consume Coca Colaand the campaign Magical duets in outdoor advertising celebrates this timeless truth: Coca-Cola and good food go hand in hand. There is something special regarding combining a favorite dish with a cold Coca-Cola.
Through the use of typography and the brand’s two iconic colours, the campaign’s impact pieces highlight food and Coca-Cola duos while celebrating the local dishes and flavors where the campaign comes to life. The idea was first born at TAXIMontreal member of the group VML Canada, to then be launched in Mexico and then in Canada on major sites. The campaign was created by Open X of WPPDirected by VML Canada.
“By using something as iconic as the Coca-Cola logo alongside delicious food, we are able to convey in seconds that Coca-Cola is the perfect companion to complete the meal,” explains Solange Grimardsenior marketing director at The Coca-Cola Company.
“Simplifying the message to the essentials is a challenge specific to outdoor advertising. This campaign works beyond awareness because each panel acts as a trigger for the moment of consumption,” says Only Grahamleader of creation, VML Canada.
