In the middle of the election campaign, the candidacy of the green EU leading candidate Lena Schilling might get into turbulence. As the “Standard” reported on Tuesday, numerous companions of the 23-year-old describe the young politician’s problematic behavior.

The Clemens Stammler case is also being reopened. After he became violent while drunk, the Green MP from St. Konrad (Gmunden district) resigned from his National Council mandate in October 2023. Stammler is said to have molested a woman that night while he was drunk. Stammler’s harassment was said to have been so intrusive that a journalist who was also present at the party rushed to the victim’s aid. Stammler is then said to have physically attacked the journalist and injured his neck.
As the “Standard” now reports, the woman being harassed was Lena Schilling. Schilling maintained regular contact with Stammler before that evening; chats suggest a good relationship. She was the one who invited him to the party in the first place. According to those present, she didn’t want to have anything to do with him and spoke badly regarding him, reports the “Standard”.
According to ZiB2, the Greens are fully behind Schilling: “All other topics raised are based on rumors and allegations or deal with things that concern the private life of Lena Schilling and/or other people.” Terry Reintke, chairwoman of the European Greens, wanted to be involved In a conversation with Armin Wolf, she did not comment on the cause, she did not know the details yet: “I got to know Lena Schilling as a fighter for the climate and a democratic society, I can’t comment on that,” said Reintke.
