In his Easter message, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, wishes that this year’s Easter “may be the starting point to build a fairer Greece, with more prosperity and security”.
Mr. Androulakis points out how many families are unable to enjoy a full Easter table due to uncontrolled punctuality. “Political will and a plan are needed to protect the incomes of the most vulnerable households and the middle class, so that the purchasing power of the Greek people is swamped from last place in the eurozone,” he adds.
The president of PASOK-KINAL underlines the obligation “to once once more make the convergence of our homeland with the most developed states of Europe a national goal. We achieved it in the past, we can achieve it today through another model of governance, which will have more transparency, democratic participation and respect for the rule of law. We can do better, because we make hope with the materials we choose.”
He also notes how the message of Christ’s Resurrection marks the victory of truth over falsehood, love over intolerance and the triumph of life over death and is permanent and universal.
“This year’s Easter let’s fight to turn it into a transition from a world of wars, trials and inequalities to a society of inclusion, peace and solidarity. Our anguish lies with the civilian population being sacrificed in Gaza, but also throughout the Middle East and Ukraine. Humanity must ensure the victory of the settlement at the expense of the power of arms”, he says and wishes “from the bottom of his heart to all Greek women and all Greeks, happy birthday”.
