The decision to fence the entrances of Karachi for the safety of citizens – Pakistan

In order to prevent the arrival of miscreants and to ensure the safety of the citizens, the administration has decided to install barbed wire fences on the entrances and exits of Karachi. A barbed wire fence will be installed on the Northern Bypass.

In this regard, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon. DIGs and AIGs were also among the participants in the meeting held at the Central Police Office. The purpose of the meeting was to review security related matters on the arrival of Eid-ul-Azha.

The IG of Sindh told the participants of the meeting that the purpose of tightening the surveillance of internal and external routes of the city is to prevent illegal entry into the city and to prevent those involved in crimes from escaping. go

He directed the police to maintain strict vigilance by making check-points and emphasis should also be placed on ensuring the security of entrances to the city. At the same time, the IG also asked for suggestions regarding the fencing of the roads to create a security system in the city.

District Police Officers were directed to set up check points in all areas and ensure snap checking to improve security locally. Last year, there were several incidents of people going to the cattle market outside the city and returning from there being robbed at different places.
