JAKARTA Street Jazz Festival (JSJF) 2024 offers excitement for jazz music lovers. For the first time, Liberty Productions collaborated with Pertamina to organize a jazz music festival which was held on Sunday (5/5) on Jalan Falatehan Blok M, South Jakarta.

This music festival is the first to be held on the streets, providing excitement through performances by the best jazz musicians in the urban atmosphere of the Blok M area. The excitement of this festival is even more lively with various supporting events such as parades.

As an opener, JSJF performed liberty dancers, percussions from liberty percussion, ondel-ondel, and Tanjidor.

Apart from that, JSJF also introduced many automotive communities such as HDCI South Jakarta (Pertamgo) and 1990s vintage cars, as well as a bazaar filled with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The excitement that was presented might not be separated from the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government from the DKI Jakarta Culture Service.

Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta Administration, Edi Sumantri, in his speech said that music is a global language that conveys feelings and emotions that are presented imaginatively in a situation.

“Music also does not look at differences, one of which is jazz music, because jazz music is music that relaxes and touches the soul,” he said at the opening ceremony of the Jakarta Street Jazz Festival in Blok M, Sunday (5/5).

Edi explained that music performance activities provide space for economic actors and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to promote and sell their products.

“Without us realizing it, the Jakarta street jazz festival is taking part in developing and promoting the advantages possessed by MSMEs, which can definitely improve the economy,” he explained.
