Leszek Miller was asked on RMF FM whether the Civic Coalition’s candidate for president of Poland should be Rafał Trzaskowski or Donald Tusk. The former prime minister pointed to the current mayor of Warsaw. – With his functioning model, personality, etc., he is an ideal, dream candidate for president – ​​argued Miller.

– Tusk is a great candidate for executive positions such as Prime Minister, while Mr. Trzaskowski is a great candidate for positions mixed with dignity, i.e. president – ​​added the former prime minister. Miller revealed that he would vote for the mayor of the capital and not, for example, the candidate of the Left, which may turn out to be Magdalena Biejat. – I vote for people and formations that have a chance to win and I am sure that these people will prove successful in their positions – he explained.

The former prime minister argued that it was not regarding gender, but regarding competences. Miller stated that Biejat has no chance of entering the second round of the presidential elections. – A very nice, very talented lady, but not a candidate to win the second round of the presidential elections. I have some experience with appointing women to president positions. Please trust my competence, said the former prime minister, referring to the candidacy of Magdalena Ogórek.

Miller assured that he had stable ideological views. He noted that he would call himself a man of the Left, but of the “social-liberal Left, which believes that in order to divide something fairly, it must first be created and which believes that a state of benefits is a poor state, and a state of labor benefits is a rich state.” The former prime minister recalled that he was “most happy” that people would not forget his tax cuts.
