More than 1,000 birthing kits, 1,000 health records and 400 impregnated mosquito nets were donated by the “Ma Bannière” foundation to the Bendjé regional hospital. Made up of essential items, medical equipment and basic hygiene items, they will be redistributed across the province of Ogooué-Maritime, particularly in the towns of Omboué, Gamba and Port-Gentil. By providing them with the tools necessary for this crucial period of birth, this action aims to accompany and support women during and following their delivery.
“This makes a real difference in the progress of this crucial stage of life. To pregnant women, I address to you in the name of the founder a message of solidarity and hope. said foundation president Erika Darlhene Moussavou Bimboundza-Begniga.
Placed under the seal of solidarity, love of neighbor and mutual aid, this action is to the credit of the first lady, Zita Oligui Nguema, honorary president of the said foundation which places women and young people at the heart of its concerns by working for their reintegration and training.
“I would like to thank the first lady for this offer which will save us from certain expenses. The money we were supposed to spend on these items will now go towards something else”rejoiced Yacine Mbourou, representative of the beneficiaries.
Erika Darlhene Moussavou Bimboundza Begniga does not intend to stop there. In front of her sisters, she announced the distribution shortly of other kits likely to cover the entire province of Ogooué-Maritime, in delivery kits and other medical equipment.
“You will receive them regularly throughout the year, and we have 25,000 other kits arriving shortly. I think we will be able to cover the whole of 2024 and why not start the year 2025”he clarified.
