The Islamabad High Court directed the administration to allow the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq heard the petition regarding permission for PTI’s rally on March 30 in Islamabad. The court directed the Islamabad administration to fulfill the conditions it has to impose.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice remarked that no one’s right of assembly can be taken away. There is nothing wrong with applying the conditions.
On this occasion, Advocate Sher Afzal Marwat said that we now want to hold a rally on April 6 in Islamabad. On which the Chief Justice directed that only take care that there is no commotion.
Chief Justice Aamir Farooq said that no extraordinary conditions should be imposed which are allowed according to the standard TOR. The previous Chief Justice has also been giving permission, I also ordered.
During the hearing, the public prosecutor said that a sad incident of terrorism had also happened yesterday. On which the Chief Justice said that life does not stop, it goes on, we have to end terrorism in the same way.
The public prosecutor requested the court to give me time to take instructions, to which the Chief Justice said that I am not asking for your consent, I have to make the decision.
Later, the court directed the State Council to implement the terms and conditions and allow the meeting.
