Government’s announcement to hold an inquiry into the issue of the judges’ letter

The federal government has announced to conduct an inquiry on the letter issue of 6 judges of Islamabad High Court. Azam Nazir Tarar said that the Prime Minister said that there will be no compromise on the independence of the judiciary, it is the duty of the government that this matter should be investigated.

After meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar announced an inquiry into the issue of the letter of 6 judges of Islamabad High Court in a press conference.

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that the Prime Minister said that he will go to meet the Chief Justice despite all his busy schedule. The meeting between the Chief Justice and the Prime Minister lasted for one and a half hours. were present

Azam Nazir Tarar said that the Prime Minister said that there will be no compromise on the independence of the judiciary, it is the duty of the government to investigate the matter, there should be no interference in the matter of any institution, headed by a retired judge of good reputation. An inquiry will be conducted.
