Asunción, IP Agency.- For the placement of new certified protection railings and horizontal signage on 10 road sections that cover 716 km in total, in order to improve road safety on national and departmental routes, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications makes a new call to tender.
The national routes to be improved are Santa Rosa del Aguaray – Capitán Bado (route PY11); access to Bella Vista North (route PY08); the itinerary connecting Cruce Guaraní with Pindoty Porã (route PY07), and the section between Curuguaty and Ypejhú (route PY13), with an approximate investment of G. 150,000 million.
This is MOPC Call No. 21/2024 “National Public Tender for the improvement of road safety in the country’s road infrastructure”, ID No. 447,738.
Offers from interested companies will be received on Monday, May 20, at 9:00 a.m., at the Single Entry Desk of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), ground floor, at Oliva corner Alberdi in Asunción. Later, at 09:30, the envelopes will be opened in the auditorium on the third floor.
The call is divided into 2 lots and the first includes the improvement of the lateral infrastructures. In this phase, the installation of 78,000 linear meters of qualified and certified railings is planned. As part of the work on Lot 1, the removal of damaged protections and transitions between railings is also established, among the most notable.
Lot two includes horizontal signage, mainly the improvement of one-component MMA and thermoplastic methyl methacrylate-based paints, including pedestrian crossings, islands, hills and directional arrows.
Likewise, it includes the installation of speed reduction lines, removal and replacement of reflective studs and vertical signage, plus the installation of vertical channeling devices.
Ten road sections will be intervened
In total, the tender covers 10 road sections, both national and departmental routes.
Among the departmental routes are Tacuatí – Horqueta, Horqueta – Azotey and Azotey – Tacuatí, within the route D0
Also the access to Tacuatí, from the route D035; Arroyito – Sargento José Félix López, as part of the D028 route and the route that connects Choré with Itacurubí del Rosario corresponding to the D0
