MOREF recommends a restoration of mentalities upstream –

The national office of the Reformers’ Movement (MOREF) met this Saturday, May 4, around its president, Alexandre Désiré Tapoyo, to take stock of the activities carried out during its first year of existence. The ‘morefists’ also carried out a lucid analysis and assessment of the country’s governance in a period of transition, as well as the conclusions of the Inclusive National Dialogue.

Satisfied with the actions deployed on the ground, in particular those relating to the progressive establishment of MOREF across the nine (9) provinces of the country, Alexandre Désiré Tapoyo called the main leaders of the party “to prepare on all levels, at least for those who have ambition, for the next elections, which will start with the upcoming referendum, then the local ones, the legislative elections and the presidential election”firmly stated the president of MOREF.

What clearly emerged from this MOREF summit meeting was the determination of its leaders to make their contribution to the construction of “New Gabon”, desired by all the active forces of the nation. A new Gabon whose common destiny will be oriented by the attitude of everyone during this transition that the Morefists wish to be as benevolent as possible.

Moreover, the MOREF board requires, as it had already formulated in its contribution to the National Dialogue which has just been held, the restoration of the first institution which is first and foremost our mentality.

For the president of MOREF, “the reform of our mentality, or the change of our mentality must no longer be a wishful thinking proclaimed to every wind. This change can be done in the short, medium and long term, otherwise all the actions that we wish to see prosper are doomed to failure.suggested Alexandre Désiré Tapoyo.

Wishing to be an educator and a bit spiritual, the national office of MOREF urges all the components of the nation, for having had, all to varying degrees, “a share of responsibility in the Gabon before, the Gabon that we decried”he said, to repent in order to hope for absolution at the end of this transition period.
