New social media guidelines don’t seem to matter – when will ORF General Weißmann finally take action?
Vienna (OTS) – FPÖ media spokesman NAbg described as unbearable. Christian Hafenecker today commented on the behavior of ORF presenter Armin Wolf that he recently displayed on the “X” platform. “Despite new social media guidelines, Mr. Wolf continues to behave more like a political agitator than a representative of public broadcasting. What else is supposed to happen before the ORF general takes action once morest Mr. Wolf and explains to him that it doesn’t work that easily?” asked Hafenecker. In terms of content, the matter is clear. There are no EU-wide leading party candidates. The election of von der Leyen as the “EPP top candidate” is just as fraudulent as the attempt to describe her German AfD colleague as the “ID top candidate”. “Even if the Neos and Mr. Wolf might wish it, but the United States of Europe does not exist,” the liberal media spokesman made it unmistakably clear.
Incidentally, Wolf’s “senior teacher style” on “X” is anything but appropriate. “Armin Wolf should finally muster the courage and enter the political arena himself instead of constantly trying to lecture democratically legitimate representatives like Harald Vilimsky. This behavior by Wolf damages the ORF’s reputation as a public broadcaster. Many people have the impression that the ORF is another anti-FPÖ party – and all Austrians are allowed to pay for it thanks to the compulsory tax. “Unfortunately, all of this doesn’t work out,” Hafenecker made clear.
The fact that the ORF moderator blocked the official FPÖ channel on “X” also shows how much Armin Wolf really cares regarding the exchange and discourse with democratically legitimate parties like the FPÖ.
