Liebman is the son of the former head of Kiryat Arba council, Eliyahu Liebman. “Forum Tikva”, which accompanies families of abductees, expressed its condolences to his family. In the announcement it was stated that Liebman worked as a security guard at the “Nova” party in the Yaer Ra’im parking lot, and that he assisted in the rescue of many of the participants in the event. The date of his funeral has not yet been determined. “Out of our pain and brokenness, we continue to pray for the safe return of all the abductees, and for the complete victory of the people of Israel,” said Liebman’s family.

Liebman was named following his uncle, who was murdered in a terrorist attack in 1998. He was the fourth child among eight brothers and grew up and was educated in Kiryat Arba. In high school, he started studying at the Lev Institute, then moved to a fellowship yeshiva. During these years, he participated in the Hila program, where he met his best friends – among them Eitan Mor, who was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip on October 7. He later studied at the Telam Preparatory School and enlisted for military service in the Golani Brigade.

After his release from the IDF, he studied cooking and began working in restaurants. He moved to Tel Aviv a few months before he was murdered, and there he worked in a restaurant. He told his friends that he dreamed of studying law and becoming a lawyer. On the morning of October 7, he called his father and whispered: “Terrorists, terrorists, there are many wounded here A shooting that needs urgent evacuation”, before starting to help evacuate the victims.
