Honorary participation for the paternal baritone, Nikolas Karagiauriswho sang, with the soloist Myrto Bokolini, the Children’s Choir of the National Opera and students from the Ukrainian school in Athens, in the garden of the Presidential Palace and in the context of the 2nd Worship Music Festival.
They performed the postmodern oratorio with elements of opera “The heavenly state”, composed by Lena Platonos, musical direction by Michalis Papapetrou and directed by Vangelis Kosmidis.
The concert, which marked the beginning of the 2nd Worship Music Festival, was given in the presence of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the Minister of Culture Linas Mendonis and the artistic director of the National Opera Giorgos Koumentakis.
After the end of the concert, the President of the Republic thanked the children and the musicians and exchanged wishes for Easter.
Afterwards, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou attended two other events of the festival: “The sunset”, curated by Lenia Zafeiropoulou and composed by Christos Sakellaridis, at the Vassilis and Elizas Goulandris Foundation, as well as “MOIROLÓI | A lament for the living”, under the musical direction of Giorgos Ziavras, at the Alternative Stage of the ELLS.
The 2nd Worship Music Festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture, the National Opera and Eurolife FFH.
