Chris Finch Ready to Accompany the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Opening Match Against the Denver Nuggets

Minnesota Timberwolves COACH Chris Finch underwent surgery to repair a tendon injury in his right knee, Wednesday (1/5), and will be in Denver to accompany his team in Game 1 of the second round of the NBA playoffs once morest the Denver Nuggets, Sunday (5/5) WIB.

Assistant coach Micah Nori, who temporarily replaced Finch, said that the 54-year-old coach underwent successful surgery and was ready to return to leading his team.

Finch suffered an injury Monday (29/4) WIB when Timberwolves guard Mike Conley was pushed by Phoenix Suns player Devin Booker and hit the coach.

Finch fell and was later diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon.

Even though Finch likely won’t travel to Denver, Nori said the Timberwolves expect him to be ready to accompany his team before the match on Sunday (5/5) WIB.

“He will be in the stands or with the players,” said Nori, without explaining whether the crowded conditions on the side of the pitch were safe enough for the recently injured coach.

If Finch isn’t ready to return, Conley said the Timberwolves trust Nori to lead the team once morest the defending NBA champions.
