Jürgen Klopp has announced that he is leaving his head coaching job at Liverpool this summer. After that, he intends to take a sabbatical, according to his own statement.
Only until the start of the 2025/26 season is the German expected to be “back in service” once more, or at least ready for it. What awaits then? It is of course unclear at the moment even if he persistently continues to be placed as German national team captain.
Perhaps a return to an ex-club might be relevant.
The Independent states that there is “more and more talk” within Borussia Dortmund regarding bringing Klopp back as football manager in 2025. It remains to be seen if the 56-year-old is interested in partly returning to the club, partly in leaving the coaching bench for a more administrative role.
Klopp was in charge of Dortmund between 2008-2015 before moving to Liverpool. In total, he won five titles with the yellow and black German big club.
