On Monday, a sad ten years passed since the death of Iveta Bartošová (†48). Precisely on April 29, 2014 – For reasons that are still unclear – she decided to voluntarily end her life’s journey, in a rather drastic way – in Prague’s Uhříněvsa. She was survived by her son Artur and widower Josef Rychtář. As the businessman told ŽivotvČesku.cz, since the death of the singer, he has neither heard nor seen her son. At the same time, he said, he expected that communication would occur.

The death of the singer had a very strong impact on her friends, fans, but especially those closest to her family. The truth is that Iveta Bartošová struggled with a bad mental state for many years. She tried to suppress him with drugs and alcohol.

Many will remember that her conditions often changed fundamentally. There were good times and bad times – Ups and downs. While some may blame Rychtár for this, the reality is that this was happening long before she met him and married him in 2013.

Josef Rychtář stated for ŽivotvČesku.cz that he expected that there would be some contact with Artur following the death of Bartošová. At the same time, he described his relationship with the singer’s son. “I took him as my own,” he emphasized.

There was no contact, although the businessman believed that Artur would want to know some details that preceded his mother’s death.

After Ivetka’s death, I tried to call Artur, but the phone was unavailable, his number had been changed. Since then I gave up because I didn’t have his number so I didn’t contact him once more. It didn’t even happen on Arturo’s part that he contacted me. I thought that this would happen, that he would ask me what happened on the fateful day when Ivetka died. If there were any indications, symptoms of any agitation, lability, etc., that would lead to this happening. But it’s been ten years and we haven’t seen or heard from each other in all that time,” the widower told ŽivotvČesku.cz.

As for the conclusions of the police investigating Bartoš’s suicide, they showed that it was purely the singer’s decision.

On Thursday, July 31, 2014, the chief investigator in the criminal case of the death of the singer Iveta Bartošová issued a resolution to postpone the case in accordance with the provisions of § 159a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, stating that, following the investigation, he concluded that no other person was involved in the death of Iveta Bartošová and it was not established that anyone helped her to commit suicide or encouraged her to do so,” it says in resolution with the matter being adjourned.
