Attack with sword in London: 14-year-old dies

The teenager was taken to hospital with stab wounds but died there, Chief Superintendent Stuart Bell of London Police said on Tuesday. Two police officers suffered significant injuries and were operated on. But their lives are probably out of danger. Two other people were also injured, but not life-threateningly, Bell said.

The Metropolitan Police had previously announced that five people were injured in the attack in the Hainault district in the northeast of the British capital. It was reported to her that a vehicle had driven into a building in the Hainault district and several people had been stabbed. A 36-year-old suspect was arrested. Bell said police do not believe the attack was targeted. The police had previously announced that it was probably not a terrorist attack.

Great Britain’s Home Secretary James Cleverly thanked the rescue workers and said on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that his thoughts were with those affected. Cleverly also called on people not to speculate or distribute footage of the case online, but to report important information to the police.
