Four defendants in the case of the criminal organization linked to the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis have, so far, taken the road to prison.
With the unanimous opinion of the investigator and the prosecutor, following their apologies, the specific defendants were deemed remanded in custody. Among them is the 31-year-old with the nickname “Kokos” who allegedly belongs to the leadership group that gave “orders” on the fateful night of the murder last December, in Rentis.

So far, 24 of the total 31 defendants who crossed the threshold of the investigative office have been pardoned.
Twenty of the defendants, according to information, have been released with restrictive conditions. Among them is the 16-year-old brother of the 18-year-old who is temporarily detained for the murder of the 31-year-old policeman.
Most of the defendants who were released were given the restrictive conditions of a mandatory appearance at a police station and a ban on watching matches and a ban on leaving the country.
