A. Navalno’s death ruined B. Johnson’s plans: 1 million is no longer important. US dollars

Carlson, a former Fox News anchor known for his fierce criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, revealed on right-wing news outlet Blaze TV that Johnson initially agreed to the interview.

The US presenter said he sent the invitation following he was angered that Mr Johnson had called him a Kremlin henchman following a controversial interview with Mr Putin in which the Russian president was not challenged on the bloodshed in Ukraine.

The TV host said that B. Johnson demanded 1 million. US dollars, but Mr. Johnson’s representatives rejected this as untrue, saying that this amount was offered by Mr. Carlson, and the former prime minister would have donated the money to charities for Ukrainian veterans.

Carlson said he had approached the former UK prime minister and a member of Johnson’s team said: “It’s going to cost you £1 million. dollars” and “then he will explain his position on Ukraine”.

T. Carlson added: “I’m not defending Putin, but Putin didn’t ask for 1 million. dollars… It’s all a terrible shock.”

“If you make money from war, you know, you can have a problem with God because it’s really immoral,” said T. Carlson, who himself is notorious for scandals.

Johnson’s spokesperson commented: “This story is not true.”

Johnson is believed to have decided not to attend following the death of Russian opposition leader Navalny, widely blamed on the Kremlin.

It is the latest breakthrough in their rift following Johnson called Carlson a “journalistic traitor” in his Daily Mail column over his interview with the Russian president.

B. Johnson said that the host of the show betrayed “viewers and listeners around the world” because he did not press charges once morest V. Putin for “torture, rape, bombing of kindergartens” in Ukraine.

In an interview with T. Carlson, V. Putin said that B. Johnson allegedly helped to derail the agreement aimed at ending the war, a charge denied by high-ranking Ukrainian officials and B. Johnson himself.

Since leaving parliament, Mr Johnson has earned millions of pounds, including £3.7m, from speeches and shows. sterling in 2023
