Eva Mendes stopped acting a long time ago to devote herself to her family and she doesn’t hide the fact that she loves taking care of her home.
The 50-year-old actress revealed that she loves cleaning, explaining that keeping the sink clean is one of her biggest concerns.
Eva – who has nine-year-old Esmeralda Amada and seven-year-old Amada Lee with partner Ryan Gosling – told PEOPLE: “For me, a clean sink means a clear mind. And I think doing the dishes is a meditation. It’s a moment of reflection and relaxation. The rest of the family participates, but the dishes are really my domain, my place of happiness.
Eva is currently launching a new range of cleaning products through Skura Style.
The Hollywood star explained that her Cuban heritage had a big influence on her new collection.
The actress, born in the United States to Cuban parents, said: “It reflects the things in life that inspire me – family, architecture, art, music, fashion – and the colors of my Cuban heritage. The beautiful pastel palette of denim, blush and teal reflects the iconic colors of Cuban architecture and landscapes. The designs I develop are very fashion driven.
In March, a source claimed that Eva and Ryan are “doing their best to stay out of the spotlight.”
The actress didn’t pose alongside Ryan at the Oscars, but the actor still has Eva’s full support and the couple simply prefers to keep their romance low-key.
A source told PEOPLE, “It really seems like they’re surviving Hollywood as a couple, because of how they’ve handled fame. They’re doing their best to stay out of the spotlight.”
