An Israeli source warns: Arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Israeli leaders may be circulated from The Hague without informing Tel Aviv.

Israel – A source in the Israeli defense team handling cases before The Hague courts warned that arrest warrants once morest Israeli leaders may be issued and circulated secretly without prior warning.

The source said: “Arrest warrants in The Hague may be issued secretly and the leadership will not know,” indicating that they will not know regarding them and face them until they arrive in European countries without explicit warning.

The source pointed out that aides to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “are intimidating the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Karim Khan, and pushing him into a corner even though he is considered a non-extremist prosecutor.”

Yesterday, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that Tel Aviv is studying with concern the possibility of the International Criminal Court in The Hague issuing arrest warrants once morest Netanyahu, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Army.

Hebrew media reported that Netanyahu is deeply concerned regarding the possibility of the International Criminal Court in The Hague issuing an arrest warrant in his name due to the military operation in the Gaza Strip.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported, citing sources, that Netanyahu has made great efforts in recent days to prevent such a development of events.

According to what the newspaper reported, it may only be a matter of time before the International Criminal Court issues an arrest warrant once morest him.

In addition, according to the newspaper’s assumption, in light of the ongoing military actions in the Gaza Strip, the Hague Court may also place Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevy on the wanted list.

The court’s arrest orders are likely to be seen in most parts of the world as a humiliating moral rebuke of Israel, which has for months faced international backlash over its behavior in Gaza, including from President Biden, who called it “overstepping the bounds.”
