Since January 3, the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry (MP) have captured five extraditable persons required for various crimes in US courts. The last capture occurred on April 25 in Santa José Pinula.
The recently captured man was detained in a parking lot of a shopping center in the municipality. He was identified as Carlos Alexander Guerra y Guerra, 38 years old.
Es required by the Eastern District Court of the state of Texas because he is accused of conspiracy crimes. Possibly he is responsible for directing, managing and facilitating part of the drug trafficking activities. According to an investigation by the MP, Guerra was part of an organization with illicit purposes from 2018 to 2020.
He fourth was captured at the Returnee Reception Center in Ayutla, San Marcos. This is Jason Antonio Yang López, 42 years old. The crimes charged are conspiracy to import 400 grams or more of a mixture containing fentanyl. And in an investigation he is accused of being part of an organization in which he transported possible fentanyl to China.
Yang López is wanted by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Also Melvin Hilario Estrada Flores, 35, alias “Layo” He was arrested for being involved in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute five kilograms or more of possible cocaine with the knowledge that it would be transported to the United States. He was arrested on January 21 in a shopping center in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango.
Víctor Francisco Gallegos Gallardo, alias “el Boludo” was captured in Los Amates, Izabal following activating a weapon during a soccer game. After analysis by the authorities, it was determined that he had an arrest warrant for extradition purposes in force to the United States for drug trafficking crimes.
The investigations indicate that drugs were transported to the north and west of the country, which is why they moved through the municipalities of Izabal and Honduras.
The first extraditable was arrested on January 3 in Antigua Guatemala. This is Luis Enrique Ruiz Morales, alias “Manía” who is wanted for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute cocaine with the intention of carrying out its illegal importation into the United States of America.
He is identified as a “high-profile drug trafficker” by national authorities. He is linked to the clan of Juan José Morales Cifuentes, husband of Isel Súñiga, mayor of Ayutla, San Marcos.
