TIKTOKER Irene Suwandi previously attracted attention following confirming that she would debut as a Kpop Idol. In fact, this was just a project offered to him by the TD group.
TD Group is a group that developed the first DIY Fanmade Lightstick in the KPop industry, especially in Indonesia.
Through the Instagram account @td_officialacc, Irene said she mightn’t become an idol because she felt she had no talent and the costs were expensive.
“After trying exercises ranging from language, dance and singing, I realized that I wasn’t talented,” said Irene in a video uploaded by TD, (25/4).
“The cost is very expensive, and in terms of age I am unable to compete,” he added.
Irene also revealed that if she truly becomes an idol, she is not ready to quit social media, which has helped her get to this point.
“Even if it happens, I have to stop all my social media, this is what makes me the saddest,” said Irene.

Even though her hopes of becoming an idol were dashed, the TD group offered Irene to participate in their project, namely DIY Lightstick Fanmade.
On the other hand, the TD group consists of people from the K-Pop industry who have succeeded in developing collaborative products from Indonesia and Korea, and are the first K-Pop group to enter the DIY field.
“Usually K-Pop groups are synonymous with idols or trainees. However, this is different from TD, whose focus is in the realm of making fanmade products,” explained Irene.
Irene was also worried regarding whether the TD group’s innovation would be well received by fans or not. However, Irene is confident that even though there are many challenges faced in making fanmade lightsticks, they will be able to meet fans’ expectations.
“In the future, our group has prepared many creators and maybe there will also be Korean idols involved in this project,” he concluded. (Z-10)
