Riyadh – A number of world leaders, senior officials, and representatives of major companies in the field of energy and digital technology are flocking to Riyadh, to participate in the “World Economic Forum.”
Among the leaders who arrived in the Saudi capital were Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif, and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Sultanate of Oman, Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, also arrived.
SPA News Agency reported that the forum represents a unique opportunity to redraw development paths in all countries and adopt a new model of international cooperation, aiming to move forward towards overcoming divisions and achieving common prosperity.
During the press conference to announce the launch of the forum, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim said: “We seek balance in security and economy in the region, and environmental threats will be discussed at the World Economic Forum.”
He added: “The global economic scene is volatile and is witnessing many challenges, and climate change has become a major challenge to the future of all humanity.”
