Sophia Bush made her first official appearance on the red carpet with partner Ashlyn Harris. at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday evening, April 27.
The 41-year-old “One Tree Hill” actress, who recently came out as queer, appeared with the 38-year-old soccer star.
Bush wore a strapless black dress with large buttons down the front. The actress, in fact, often stopped to whisper in her partner’s ear during their photos. Harris, for her part, wore a black suit with gold details.
On Saturday the couple also attended the official event along with other celebrities such as Fran Dresser and some ‘Vanderpump Rules’ reality stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright.

“I’m queer, I can finally breathe,” revealed Sophia Bush
Earlier this week, Bush admitted to Glamor magazine that she is queer.
In the same article, the 41-year-old actress admitted that she is in love with Harris, who they first became friends with in 2019 and eventually moved on to a relationship following her October 2023 divorce from Grant Hugh.
“I didn’t expect to find love in this support. I don’t know how else to put it: I didn’t realize it until I realized it,” Bush wrote.
In the same interview, the One Tree Hill actress mentioned that she had told her previous relationships that she was attracted to women.
She also called her relationship with Hughes a “new frontier”: “It’s very easy not to realize what you see in front of you for a long time and it’s now an option that you weren’t looking for as an option.”
“What I saw was a friend with a long and happy life. And now I know she was thinking the same thing regarding me,” concluded Bush regarding her relationship.
It is recalled that Ashlyn Harris has two children with her wife Ali Krieger, with whom they divorced in 2023.
