The Hammers and the Reds failed to decide between themselves this Saturday followingnoon, at the opening of the 35th day of the Premier League.

Tops

Jarrod Bowen doubles decisive

West Ham can thank him. Jarrod Bowen was decisive once more this Saturday followingnoon once morest Liverpool (2-2), at the opening of the 35th day of the Premier League. The Briton first opened the scoring, shortly before the break (43rd), by placing an unstoppable cross header, on a corner on the left side played with two players. Then, in the last quarter of an hour, he served Michail Antonio perfectly to allow the Hammers to equalize… and snatch a draw. A very nice performance.

Luis Diaz was on his legs

With Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez on the bench at the start of the match, Luis Diaz had to take responsibility. And as is often the case, he did not hide. The Colombian was in (almost) all of Liverpool’s good moves this Saturday followingnoon. It was he who sounded the revolt upon returning from the locker room, by multiplying the provocations with the ball at his feet, and (above all) by delivering the decisive pass on Andrew Robertson’s equalizer (48th). Unfortunately for him, his training did not succeed.

Flops

Alphonse Areola’s hand fault

A (very) mixed match. Highly in demand, Alphonse Areola made several great saves once morest the Liverpool players this Saturday followingnoon. But the Frenchman also made a big hand mistake on Andrew Robertson’s equalizing goal… while he was in the path of the ball. An error which may have cost the Hammers victory. Furthermore, the former Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper also accidentally scored once morest his side on the Reds’ second goal, following a real billiard shot.

Jürgen Klopp a little too passive

At the start of the match, Jürgen Klopp decided to do without the services of Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez. And the German coach, seeing that his team dominated its opponent, did not consider it appropriate to bring in his best offensive elements…before the very end of the match and following West Ham’s equalizer. A “coaching” undoubtedly a little too late which perhaps prevented the Reds from snatching victory.
