Morocco to the final of the African Cup of Nations indoor football

The Moroccan national team reached the final match of the African Indoor Football Cup (Morocco 2024), with its victory today, Friday, April 19, 2024, on the floor of the Sports Palace in the Prince Moulay Abdullah Sports Complex in Rabat, over its Libyan counterpart (6-0) in the semi-final match, to ensure Thus qualifying for the World Cup.

The goals of the Moroccan team were scored by Sufyan Al-Masrar (3rd and 22nd minute), Youssef Jawad (6th minute), Bilal Al-Bakali (12th minute and 29th minute), and Anas Al-Ayyan (17th minute).

In the final match, next Sunday, the Moroccan team will face its Angolan counterpart, who won earlier in the day over its Egyptian counterpart (7-3).

With this victory, the Moroccan national team officially qualifies for the FIFA Indoor Football World Cup finals, which will be held between September 14 and October 6 in Uzbekistan.

The Libyan national team will have a second opportunity to grab one of the qualification tickets to the World Cup, when it faces its Egyptian counterpart in the third place match, which will be held next Sunday.

The competitions of this prestigious continental event will be held until April 21 in both the Ibn Yassine Hall and the Sports Palace in the Prince Moulay Abdullah Sports Complex in Rabat.

Morocco, the two-time defending champion, also had the honor of organizing the previous indoor tournament of the African Cup of Nations in 2020 in the city of Laayoune.
